Superintendent has gotten what he deserves

Yea, lets say yea for the superintendent of Luarel County. He finally got what he deserved. I can't believe that our school board would hire and employ a man that is so narrow minded as to tell our young men that they couldn't ware pink shirts because pink is for queers. First of all that is improper language. You don't go around calling gay people queers. Second of all, the color pink does not make young men gay. If he was as educated as he professes, he would know that you are either born gay or not. Durning the 8o's when the Miami Vise look was so popular, my son, now 6'6" and 300lbs, father of two and no where even close to being gay, use to ware a white pair of pants with a white jacket along with a pink shirt. You know the ones with the Izod emblem on them. I guess he was around 10. He's no worse for ware. He's not gay. Sounds like he needs to go back to the holler and re-educate him self. Second of all, since when does the color pink indicate the sexual preference of a male? And no earrings? I don't happen to think that earrings look good in a young mans ears, and yes it was a fad in the 8o's that is now so dead and gone, but young people have to have a way to express their selves. And yes having two earrings makes the young men look like they are trying to be girls, but again they have to be able to express them selves some way. So if dressing like girls helps them to identify with who they are, then I say more power to them. I just hope that they out grow this part of their lives and move on. Because it really looks stupid on a grown man. Any way, back to the superintendent. Its about time that they get rid of him. Send him back to the holler where he can push his hillrod ideas on people that might not hang him. Wearing pink shirts, having earrings in their ears has nothing to do with the person our young men are or will become. They are young and trying to find out who they are and where their going. Perhaps that's what wrong with our superintendent, perhaps he was never allowed to express him self and therefore became the prick he is to day.

Idiots among us

Why is it that 10 years ago our small town was a wonderful place to live. Having only two high schools and two middle schools we remained a fairly small town. But of course our wonderful city council wanted us to be more like Lexington KY. Well people you now have your wish. We have the gangs in our high schools and middle schools. We have had what I like to refer to as white trash move in to our town from all over the country. Mostly from the northern states, Michigan, Ohio and Indianana. We have gotten the trash and now our town is cluttered with the Debry. What use to be a wonderful place to live in has become a nightmare from hell. Smart ass kids that have brought their attitude with them, and decided that gang warfare is the way they want to live. Instead of using their brains they believe they have to use their mussel. Their parents can't be any better to allow their kids to act like this. What happened to the good ole spanking? Its just like the good bible says, spare the rod spoil the child. Now government has decided that we no longer have the right to raise our kids according to the bible but to their standards. And they wonder why we have kids that act the way they do. Not to mention the traffic problem. Why don't they all pick up their little trash pile (kids) and go back to where they came from. Maybe we could have our wonderful little town back. Dont get me wrong. There have been some wonderful people move into Laurel County. Just to many of them! Less is more.

DO CHILDREN EVER GROW UP

I SOMETIMES WONDER WHAT KIND OF KIDS WE RAISED. I COULDN'T WAIT TO GROW UP AND GET OUT ON MY OWN. I ASKED MY MOTHER FOR HELP MAYBE 3 TIMES IN MY LIFE. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT IF I WAS GROWN UP ENOUGH TO MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS AND DO WHAT I WANTED TO DO, THEN I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO LIVE ON MY OWN AND PAY MY OWN WAY. NOW ADAYS KIDS IN THE 20'S AND EARLY 30'S THINK MOM AND DAD ARE MADE OF MONEY. ALWAYS CALLING AND WANTING TO BE BAILED OUT OF THEIR MISTAKES. PEOPLE SAY, ITS TOUGHER NOW THEN WHEN WE WERE KIDS. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT. ITS THE SAME RODEO, JUST DIFFERENT RIDERS. NO ONE CAN PAY OUR WAY THROUGH LIFE. JUST LIFE NO ONE CAN MAKE CHOICES FOR US. THAT'S HOW WE MAKE MISTAKES AND LEARN FROM THEM. HOW COULD WE HAVE RAISE KIDS SO INSECURE WITH THEM SELVES? NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO STAND ON THEIR OWN TWO FEET. SO WEAK THAT THEY HAVE TO DEPEND ON DRUGS AND ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES TO OCCUPY THEIR TIME AND HELP THEM TO COPE. TO HAVE A CHILD SAY.. THE GROOMS CAKE IS USUALLY CHOCOLATE WITH CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES ENCIRCLING THE CAKE, DRIZZLED WITH TWO KINDS OF CHOCOLATE. I DO DELIVER WITHIN THE AREA, SET UP AND RETRIEVE MY SEPARATOR PLATES AFTER THE RECEPTION. YOU CAN EITHER BUY BEAUTIFUL SILK FLOWERS, (I BUY FROM MICHAELS IN LEXINGTON) OR USE FRESH FLOWERS THAT THE FLORIST PLACES ON THE CAKE. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT A NEIGHBOR THAT STEALS YOUR DOG FOR CHRISTMAS MONEY? ON RIVERSIDE LOOP IN LILY KY, ON DECEMBER 12, 2005 ONE OF MY WONDERFUL NEIGHBORS DECIDED THEY NEEDED CHRISTMAS MONEY AND STOLE MY 1 YEAR OLD JACK RUSSELL. I LET HIM OUT TO POTTY WITH HIS RESCUE SISTER AND ONLY SHE CAME BACK. HE WAS ONLY OUT FOR 15 MINUTES. HE HAD HIS GREEN COLLAR ON WITH HIS TAGS TELLING EVERYONE WHO HE BELONGED TO. IT WASN'T LIKE NO ONE ALREADY KNEW THIS. BUT FOR SOME REASON NONE OF MY NEIGHBORS SAW ANYTHING. I MEAN IT WAS AROUND 3:30 PM, AND NO ONE SAY ANYTHING? YEA, OK. I PUT UP REWARD SIGNS AND STILL THE THIEF NEVER BROUGHT HIM BACK. BUT YOU KNOW MONEY TALKS AND IT DID. I KNOW WHO TOOK HIM. I HAVE TURNED MY HEAD AND LOOKED THE OTHER WAY WHEN IT CAME TO ALL THE ILLEGAL GOINGS ON HERE ON THE LOOP. BUT NOW I AM GOING TO SPILL MY GUTS LIKE A LITTLE PIG IF THIS PERSON DOESN'T BUY MY DOG BACK AND RETURN HIM TO ME WITHIN THE WEEK. I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST THESE PEOPLE.
